- Creating transactions
To create a transaction, click the New Transaction button.
Under the General tab, you can enter the date, amount, description, category, payment method and additional notes.
- Date: PigMoney automatically displays the current date. The date can be changed by clicking the up and down arrows, or by entering a new date in the text field. You can enter natural language (e.g. today, next week, yesterday, ...).
- Amount: Enter the amount of the transaction. PigMoney assumes every transaction is an expense and will make every amount negative by default. If the transaction is a deposit, make sure to check the deposit box.
- Description: enter a short description for this transaction. This can be the name of the product you have purchased, or the name of the company. The description field will auto-complete the text.
- Category: enter a category for this transaction (e.g. groceries, computers, car). Every time you enter a category, it will be added to the popup list. PigMoney will auto-complete previously used categories.
- Payment Method: in this field you can enter which account you have used (e.g. Visa, cash, money transfer, account number,...).
- Notes: this field can store additional information.
If you want PigMoney to automatically repeat this transaction at certain time intervals, click the Auto-repeat tab. Otherwise, click Save.

- Editing transactions
Select a transaction from the list and click the Edit Transaction button to edit it.

- Deleting transactions
Select one or more transactions from the list and click the Delete transaction button.
