TurboPlanner: Screen Layout & Buttons
The screen layout has four work areas. Firstly, there is the calendar which shows all the days of the month with various indicators. To the right of that is the daily appointments & tasks. Under the calendar is the monthly notes/comments area.


Calendar:-
The calendar shows all the days of the month. You can select any day simply by clicking on it. Once selected, the appointments & tasks for that day are listed. Colour coding and icons are used to indicate statuses:-
    - Days which have appointments are underlined.
    - Days which have incomplete tasks are shown in a  blue colour.
    - Days which have all tasks completed are shown in a  teal colour.
    - Days which have no tasks assigned are shown in  black colour.
    - Today's date is highlighted with a  pink background.
    - The currently selected day is highlighted with a  yellow background.
    - Birthdays are shown with a icon.
    - Use the icons to scroll through the months.
    - Return to today by clicking the icon.
    - View reminder alarms for today by clicking the icon.
    - View regular tasks by clicking the icon.

Appointment  Area:-
The appointments for the currently selected day are listed in the appointments area. The number of appointments for the day can be seen in the brackets next to the Appointments heading. 
To add a new appointment, right-click in the time zone you wish to add the appointment. A popup menu will appear where you can click Add. A maximum of three appointments can exist in any time zone.
By clicking on an existing appointment, the edit appointment window will open with the selected appointment. You can duplicate an existing appointment if it runs over multiple days by right-clicking on it and selecting Duplicate. Reminder alarms can be set for the number of minutes you want to be notified prior to the appointment start time. 

There are four different types of appointments and are indicated by the background colour:-
 Meeting 
 Tentative 
 Out of Office 
 On Leave 


Task Area
:-
The tasks for the currently selected day are listed in the task area. Any outstanding tasks from previous days including regular tasks, are also listed along with Birthdays.
To add a new task, right-click in the task area. 
Tasks can be set to completed by ticking the check box beside the task. Clicking on a task description will open the Task Edit window. Here you can change the date & description, set an alarm time, and alter the task to make it a regular occurrence. There are some command buttons in the Edit window:-
    - Save to apply any changes to the task.
    - Delete to delete the current task.
    - Forward will move the task to the following day. 

You can move a task by dragging it from the task area and dropping it on another day in the calendar. To drag a task, click and hold down the left mouse button on the task description then drag the mouse to the day you wish to move it to, then release the mouse button.

For Regular tasks when you click the completed box, a popup window will appear where you type in the date you want the task to appear again. The system will automatically leave a record of the task which allows you to see a trail of when regular tasks were last actioned.

Notes/Comments Area:-
This area is to record any notes or comments. They are stored separately for each month. Some text formatting options are provided to customise your notes.

 

Address Book: Screen Layout & Buttons
The Address Book lists all your contacts. See below for details of functionality.



All names and addresses are listed in Surname alphabetical order. You can temporary change the sort order by clicking on a column title, eg. clicking on "First Name" will re-sort the list in first name order. Three command buttons are available:-
    - Add will allow you to create new contacts. By completing the "Date of Birth" column, a candle icon will appear in the Task Area every anniversary.
    - Delete to delete the currently selected record. To select a record, simply click on an entry.
    - Save to save any changes you have made to the currently selected record.

A special built-in function allows you to store sensitive information such as bank account numbers and PIN's. They are encrypted using a highly intelligent security method. Encrypted data is indicated where a tick is in the "X" column. To add encrypted data, follow these steps:-
    - decrypt existing data by pressing Ctrl+Alt+D on your keyboard.
    - click the Add command button and you will be presented with a blank address record.
    - type in the name and press Tab button on your keyboard.

type in a first name if applicable and press Tab button again.
    - type the sensitive information in the Address column.
    - click in the "Encrypt" box to put a tick in it.
    - click the Save command button. The new address details will be saved and automatically encrypted.
    - to decrypt the data anytime, press Ctrl+Alt+D on your keyboard.

You can password protect the decrypt function by setting a password in the Options section in the File menu.

Reports
You can list tasks by a date range in a report format by clicking the Report menu. Further reports will be added to the system at a later date.

 

World Time Zones
You can set and monitor up to six time zones from anywhere around the globe. The clocks will automatic adjust for daylight savings time.
To add another clock, simply click the Add button. To delete a clock, click on the X.
