THis software can also run on other windows(such as 95, 98, NT) if there's vb runtime and IE4.0 up installed. (Actually, it only needs msvbvm60.dll and vbscript.dll installed in your operating system.)

There's no advertisement on the panel, and will never auto-communicate to any website. (There's a link label of my site on the panel, you can click to go to my website.)

Safe Process

All rename result will be showed in list before renaming, you can check them before rename them. Original names will be stored for restoration unless you close the renamer. If you find error you can rename them back.

Powerful Function

Back on powerful Regular Expression, you can deal with all kinds of renaming demand. Though this tool doesn't provide some prepared rename disciplines, but it allow you write them by your self on various renaming work. So it can became powerful on your intelligence.

How to rename

Step 1 : Select the folder where you the files you want to rename.

You can also type the path in the box or copy from the location bar of explorer and paste it in the box.

Step 2 : Input the key word of expression you want to replace.

Step 3 : Input what you want to be replaced with.

Please be care of white space, to allow replacing white space, the tool doesn't delete it, so don't paste or input wrong white spaces before or after your expression.

Step 4 : Click 'Check' button, the files to be rename and the new names after renaming will be shown in the list boxes, and in the status row, the lines which the file will be renamed will be marked with a '*'.

Step 5 : If everything is OK, click the 'Rename' button to rename.

Revert if needed: If you found error after renaming, you can click revert button to rename them back.

Caution: The file name can't be renamed back when you close the renamer, please check the result before you close it.

About Rename Status

• '*' means the file is to be renamed, while no '*' means the file will be ignored for the name doesn't match.
• 'OK' means the file has been renamed successfully.
• 'Err' means there's a error during rename that file, rename failed.
• 'Rev' means the file has been renamed back to original one.
