To configure SyncPhotos to automatically retrieve new photos and
videos from another computer whenever they're available, click on the
computer in the source list:
Next, check the "Automatically import" checkbox. The "Manually
import" section is replaced with a list of albums on the other
computer:
Next to the "Automatically import" checkbox is a pop-up button that
says "all new photos and videos". You can change this to "all new
photos and videos from selected albums" and select some albums; this
restricts the new photos and videos retrieved to only those in specific
albums on the other computer:
You can change the pop-up button to "all new photos and videos from
the last month" to retrieve all photos and videos from the last month,
in addition to new photos and videos in the selected albums:
When you've finished selecting the options you want, click the "Apply" button.
Note: Automatic photo retrieval happens in the background. You can quit SyncPhotos. A background app called SyncPhotos Agent does the automatic retrieval. Whenever SyncPhotos Agent has retrieved new photos, it will display a Growl notification (Growl is a utility which displays unintrusive messages from apps on your computer). Launch iPhoto and it will automatically import the retrieved photos. For more information about SyncPhotos Agent, read SyncPhotos System Components.
