Description
PassDirector is an encrypted, password protected database for sensitive personal data:
- bank accounts, credit cards
- email accounts, web passwords
- serial numbers
- hardware passwords, Internet connection passwords
- phone numbers
- any other private and confidential information
PassDirector uses strong, industry standard, high secure AES-256 encryption. All cryptographic operations are performed using standard, system-provided macOS libraries.
Other features:
- syncing between the Mac and iPhone PassDirector database over the Wi-Fi or iCloud
- creating new categories with custom fields
- renaming and deleting categories and fields
- custom picture for a category and an entry
- searching in the database
- opening web pages directly in Safari
- backup and restore encrypted data (required for backup purposes or if moving the database to another computer)
- printing database entries
- text export
- password generator
The PassDirector main password is not stored in the computer, it cannot be retrieved by any way. The password is used only when it is entered after starting PassDirector. (The password can be remembered in Apple Keychain if needed.)
Please remember your password carefully. If you forget the password, it will not be possible to retrieve your data and they will be lost.

Ratings and Reviews
Works as long as you do not want to change anything
I tried to change and edit a few categories before I went through the effort of entering all my information. It would not allow me to change field names in a category at all, which is frustrating since I don't really want fields labeled "Field_1" and "new_field". It then locked up when I tried to delete a field. So I shut it down and opened it back up again. It is now corrupt and I can't seem to fix it.
What a waste of money. I'm going to try to get a refund.
works for me
I've used it since it was first released in a free version. It's easy to organize. You just create new categories for whatever you want. Currently sync two macs over a phone but will try with Dropbox.. This is a lightweight foolproof program and I've tried several before choosing this one. Also, developer very responsive when had trouble leapfrogging from 1.2 to 2.16
Needs improvements.
Un-installing this app simply because it's not as versitile as it leads on. It works, but isn't very organized and has a rough feel. When adding an account you can't change the name of it. Example when you add a new email they are ALL titled EMAIL ADDRESS which makes it hard if you're looking for one quickly, you have to click through all of the accounts to find the one you want. The description made me think it was a great app by stating that it was "FREE FOR A LIMITED TIME" but I now know its free because it's not worth paying for.
