What is HelpExpert?
HelpExpert is a tool to create electronic documentations. To put together a complete documentation consisting of chapters, topics, table of contents and index, an author hardly needs to do more than to type, point and click. The result will look as in the following screenshot.

Ease of use
HelpExpert's built in editor supports all common functions for formatting text in paragraphs, lists and tables even allowing drag and drop operations, making authoring as simple as possible. HelpExpert combines the major parts of electronic documentations within a single project. It lets the user concentrate on authoring content and structure while relieving from technical aspects upon creation of resulting help sets.
Platform Independent
As an application developed in Java, HelpExpert is completely platform independent. Whether it is used on Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac or even Mainframes, it works the same everywhere. Consequently, resulting help sets or electronic documentations are produced in a platform independent format as well.

Compression and preview
For JavaHelp the application allows to create compressed help sets as Java Archives (JAR) in one step. Its preview facility allows to view a resulting help set directly from within HelpExpert.
