
Fixing Issues with Syncing
The Syncing that can be used with Assignment Planner is a delicate process. Once you begin moving your data over a network, problems can arise which may result in data loss. If you run into such a problem, you can restore from the automated Syncing backup that is built into Assignment Planner. Every time you sync, a backup of your current data will be saved, which you can easily restore from.
To Restore from a Syncing Backup:
- From the File menu, select "Import from Backup..."
- Navigate to the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Assignment Planner/ , where ~ is your home folder.
- Inside of the Syncing Backups folder, you'll see the 20 latest Syncing backups, each with a timestamp of when they were created. Choose the latest one and continue with the backup process.
- If your data isn't restored correctly, continue with the backup process, but using earlier and earlier backups, until your data is recovered.
